First Semester Ensembles
First Semester Ensemble Placement
I have received the results from my placement auditions this week. For my main large ensemble, I will be playing in the Kent State Wind Ensemble. I am also playing in the Kent State Percussion Ensemble and whereever else my professors ask me to play.

Well, I had one day at home before heading off to school. Dad and I drove up to Kent on Tuesday, where I met with my percussion professor and the director of athletic bands, got my new Student ID, and moved into my dorm room.

2025 All Virginia Jazz Ensemble
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, I joined several student from all around Virginia to perform in the 2024 All-Virginia Jazz Ensemble. Performing on vibraphone for the second year at the Virginia Music Educators Association Annual Conference, this year I was in the top ensemble in the state. It was a pleasure working with Mr. Vincent Gardner, Director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra. I had a great time learning from him over the three day conference.
